I offer my Integrity, Industry, and Intellect

I am a real estate professional, an agent and broker. I enjoy helping buyers and sellers conduct real estate transactions in the Austin area. Most of my business comes from friends and referrals, so trust is a large aspect of my relationships with clients. I give people the excellent service that they deserve. Prior to starting my real estate career, I was a biological research scientist (PhD) and educator for 30+ years at UT Austin and Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. Now, I use those skills to dig deeply into property data and guide clients through a smooth process of buying or selling a home. My real estate classes include real estate contracts, real estate law, financing, marketing, negotiations, ethics, new home builders, property management, property taxes, senior clients, and first-time buyers. These courses and experience allowed me to earn a real estate brokers license and work independently in my own business. I serve clients by providing the highest level of professional opinions and advice.

I arrived in the Austin area in 1978, purchased an old home in South Austin in 1993, bought and sold my own rental property, and participated in the growth and development of Austin for many decades. I serve as secretary of my neighborhood association, volunteer for park clean ups, and participate in local government. I hike and bike in local parks and trails, swim in the springs, practice yoga, and support the arts. My website and text messages are filled with my photos of flowers from my garden. You are sure to see me laughing with family and friends at Austin area restaurants, music events, and local breweries. I am a serious and patient educator who encourages others to persevere. My professional goal is for my clients to succeed with their goals.

Here to help

It is still a Seller’s market for Austin real estate. As a real estate agent/broker/REALTOR®, I provide professional advice, educated opinions, research, and resources to help each home Seller or home Buyer with their best possible transaction.  I am a vigilant agent for each client.

Each transaction is unique.  A Seller might need advice about pre-market home preparation, list price, handling multiple offers, extra time to move, disclosures, buyer tactics, or fair housing laws. A Buyer might need advice about financing options, neighborhood characteristics, potential home repairs, fair contract offers, new builder contracts, or inspections & appraisals.

It is still a Seller’s market with less than 6 months of inventory.

Happy Buyer!

I asked for a review from a client that I recently helped purchase her new home:

A neighbor referred me to Becky after roughly six months of searching and seven offers submitted. Some could chalk that up to the rough Austin housing market, but in addition to that, I knew something was missing. I’d been through two other realtors before I found Becky and all of them were missing any “get up and go” attitude. None of the realtors I worked with before Becky had done much proactive realtor work – I was constantly reaching out to them, not them to me. I felt like I was in this hunt on my own.

Enter Becky!

Becky is the opposite of all that. I felt like I had a partner and ally during this experience. She often suggested different trajectories, homes that I may have missed, neighborhoods I might have overlooked. She was in it to win it. Also, during the closing process, she was on top of things; sending me helpful reminders all along the way. She was there to greet and shadow the inspector when I couldn’t. She took it upon herself to call a foundation specialist – not just any foundation specialist, but the ones that performed work on the home many years ago. She even took my earnest money to the title company. What an amazing experience – I’m telling you, they don’t make them like Becky anymore. The neighbor that referred me to Becky initially said “she (Becky) is old school” and now I know why. She’s just a gem.

I am a realtor with get up and go. I like to help people buy or sell real estate in the way that works for them.

I love to help

I love to help buyers and sellers with residential real estate. The Austin, TX area has been my home & stomping grounds for more than 40 years! I am a reliable resource in the midst of change. My primary goal is to help people.

Sold in Georgetown

I love to help buyers & sellers with real estate in the Austin area.

I provide honest research, abundant information, and personal service.  Each transaction is unique, so I collaborate with my clients to help achieve their goals.  I am Austin Authentic.

I work for YOU!

Last year, an out of town buyer emailed me descriptions of her ideal home in Austin and price range. I studied the information, asked questions, provided examples, and listened carefully.  Using my thorough understanding of Austin and the most current online research, I realized that the needs of my client would be best satisfied in a lower price range.  I helped her close on a great property approximately $100K less than her initial stated price range.  I work for YOU!

Integrity, Industry, Intellect

When selecting a real estate agent, customers (sellers, buyers, landlords, and tenants) have many choices.  Brokers have unique business models and philosophies.  For instance, some brokers with a large number of agents, assign paperwork and communications to office assistants and support people other than the primary agent.  Others (like me) handle all aspects of their clients’ transactions.

I provide full service to my clients by providing education, helping buyers find a property or marketing a seller’s home, negotiating competitive contracts, and working with lenders, inspectors, contractors, and escrow agents for successful closings.  This level of service requires more than virtual tours or mobile apps.  I represent the best interests of my clients throughout the unique circumstances that occur during the 3-6 weeks it often takes to close a deal.

On my website and promotional materials I like to share my photographs of flowers from my yard.  I give the same attention and care to my clients as I do to my flowers.  I provide integrityindustry, andintellectto help my friends and neighbors in Austin, TX.
